IRYS is a virtual YouTuber or VTuber, introduced by the Japanese VTuber group called Hololive, as a Virtual singer or VSinger. She made her debut on July 11, and it was the biggest debut in the history of VTubers that garnered around 100,000 concurrent viewers. She might take the internet by storm with her talents in the upcoming weeks.
Currently, the VSinger has more than 500,000 subscribers, and they are desperately waiting for her next streaming program. Her upcoming stream is titled One Hand Clapping, and it will go live on Tuesday, July 20 at 10 am JST, 2 am GMT, or 6 pm PDT.
Who is IRYS?
A Virtual Youtuber Group called Hololive English introduced her as the first member of their new project. The project is called Project: Hope, and it will introduce a new generation of talents to the viewers with an ambition to restore hope to the world.
IRYS is the first member of Project: Hope, and she tried to encourage the viewers with her performance during her debut stream. She is described as a half-demon, half-angel by her creators, who call her Nephilim.
This is not the first time IRYS is visiting earth. She has brought hope to the world during her first visit to “The Paradise”. She is back again to deliver hope because the world is filled with desperation and despair now. With her determination, songs, and lyrics, she will try to restore hope.
“The future is not what helps people; the future is made with our own hands. Salvation is hypocrisy. If people know they are to be saved, they simply will not try. From the depths of despair: a glimmer of light, the warmth of recovery. As long as we are with hope, we live. We stand tall,” the description about her on the website states.
IRYS meets her fans and interacts with them through live streaming, and this week, she has scheduled for five days. Her first streaming of the week, titled mother stimulator, was held on July 19, and it featured her struggles as a new mother. A VSinger named IRyS is the latest member to join the popular VTuber group Hololive, and she just made the biggest debut in history with nearly 100,000 concurrent viewers on YouTube.
Hololive is at the forefront of the VTuber craze on YouTube. They describe themselves as a talent agency that manages more than 50 virtual creators, all of which are taking the internet by storm, including their latest members, IRyS.
IRyS, who the company describes as a half-demon, half-angel, has been sent to “deliver hope” to people in the form of her lyrics, songs, and determination.
And if her debut stream is anything to go by, it seems like the masses can’t get enough of her.
Before her first stream went live, she already had nearly 250,000 subscribers on YouTube. Once she did, it climbed even more as 100,000 people tuned in to see what she’s all about. And she didn’t disappoint.
IRyS introduced herself and proceeded to charm the socks off her viewers right out of the gate.
She talked about who she is, what she’s all about, and even performed a song — fitting considering she’s a part of their new vocal group, Project HOPE.
She might not be as popular as Gawr Gura — not yet, anyway. She’ll need more than 3 million subscribers for that. But it was still the biggest debut in VTuber history, and a sign that the craze isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Debut stream takes place on July 11
Cover Corp announced on Wednesday that the VSinger IRyS will be making her debut as part of the hololive English Virtual YouTuber group. She will belong to a new branch, titled “Project: HOPE." Her debut stream will take place on her YouTube channel on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 10 AM (JST).
IRyS is designed by redjuice ( Beatless , Guilty Crown ). Her character concept is described below:
IRyS, a half-demon, half-angel also known as a Nephilim, once brought hope to “The Paradise” during the ancient age. Her full name is ███████ Irys. This current era, riddled with despair and desperation, has brought upon her second awakening. She has arrived to deliver hope, with her feelings put into her lyrics and songs, and determination in her voice. Though she tends to retain her Nephilim form, she is still quite young within her race. With emotion and “other factors,” it is possible that her form may lean to either side. When that occurs, she bears a brief change in her appearance. She does not speak of the events that preceded her second awakening. She faces ever forward, perhaps because she is Hope Incarnate, though no one knows for sure. Or could it be… “The future is not what helps people; the future is made with our own hands. The first generation of hololive performers debuted in 2018. Over 50 Virtual YouTubers currently belong to hololive; according to the agency’s English website, it has around 4.4 million fans on YouTube and 4 million on bilibili . The talents perform using intricate 2D and 3D avatars provided by the company. hololive English debuted in September. The names of the debuting talent are Ninomae Ina’nis, Takanashi Kiara, Watson Amelia, Mori Calliope, and Gawr Gura.

IRyS 為 holoEN 英語組繼一期生後再次推展的虛擬偶像企劃，與在日本活動的 AZKi 同為是以歌手活動為主的 Vsinger。
根據官方設定，IRyS 是一位半惡魔、半天使的拿非利人（Nephilim），曾在遙遠的太古時期為天堂帶來了希望。她的全名為 ███████ Irys。如今她在這個充滿絕望和絕望的時代裡再次甦醒。
她的降臨是以自己充滿決心的歌聲，將自己的感受化為歌詞與歌曲來傳遞希望。

【更新】因屢次違反政策，Vtuber寶鐘瑪琳YouTube頻道再度被BAN，所幸虛驚一場

稍早不久確認，寶鐘瑪琳的 YouTube 頻道再度恢復，雖然頻道被誤 BAN 的原因仍不清楚，不過這次是由 YouTube 官方團隊介入調查，解除封鎖狀態，許多關心船長的粉絲暫時不用擔心了。
前一陣子才剛舉辦百萬訂閱 3D 演唱會，YouTube 訂閱數達 142 萬的 hololive 人氣 Vtuber「寶鐘瑪琳」（宝鐘マリン｜Houshou Marine），於今（8）日下午經許多粉絲發現其頻道再次遭 YouTube 封鎖停權，隨即在推特引發討論「#船長BAN」、「#BringMarineBack」熱議趨勢。
於現在時間前往寶鐘瑪琳個人頻道，便會發現所有內容皆已消失，僅出現 YouTube 的停權終止說明。
YouTube 政策禁止垃圾內容、詐欺行為及誤導性內容，這個帳戶屢次或嚴重違反前述政策或其他《服務條款》中的規定，因此遭到終止。
當然，這並非是船長第一次被 YouTube BAN 台，去年 11 月也曾在直播遊戲實況期間遭到封鎖，被封鎖的原因至今令人費解，畢竟 YouTube 社群規範裡有定義出許多不適合出現的內容（如仇恨或色情議題），但其模糊的界定範圍與封鎖判定至今仍引起許多爭議。
截至目前為止，Cover 與船長並未出面回應現狀，不過先前包含 hololive EN 英語組一期生小鳥遊琪亞拉（Takanashi Kiara｜小鳥遊キアラ）等不少 hololive 成員皆有過被 YouTube 誤 BAN 的紀錄，所幸最後皆有恢復頻道，關心船長的粉絲不妨耐心等候進一步消息通知。
